My friends and I all ordered different entrees, and most of them tasted really good. However the portion sizes are very small for the price you pay.
got the chicken lo mein and egg rolls, so yummy!!
My kung pao chicken literally arrived submerged in oil i know I asked for it to be extra spicy but I also wanted to be able to taste my food and not just oil.
Please avoid at all cost during lockdown. Friends used to eat here and I personally ordered twice since April. Orders were messed and even wrong meat in the right meal. No idea what the employees are doing since Covid. Very unfortunate and hope they get back to the old team after all this
I can confirm, this place is really good.
Excellent, authentic Sichuan food. Really recommend the double-cooked pork belly. My favorite Chinese place in Austin.
The food was delivered in a timely manor, with friendly service. All of my food came hot and fresh in sealed labeled containers. The meal came with the appropriate utensils. Overall wonderful service and I would recommend to most people.
nice cozy vibes that make me nostalgic plus tasty comfort food
I received food poisoning from this restaurant.
Good is great but pricing is questionable.
Found a couple small roaches in my food. Will never eat here again
I ordered an order thru uber eats... Was then called by restaurant who did not start my order yet, I know this because they asked if I would like the sauces I asked for on the side like I had asked for or if I would like them mixed in with the general tsos. I told them on the side only would be great. They then notified me they would not put white sauce on the side. I then cancelled the order immediately before it was even started and now I've been charged 34$ which I apparently will not get back when I got absolutely no food and it was before the order was even started. I will never eat at this place or use Uber eats ever again.
Great hunan beef and hot and sour soup!
This place is very rude & racist. I can speak Chinese and I heard them talking down about me. Then i told them that what they said about me was very rude. 1 of their customers then assaulted me and they just watched and did nothing about it. Extremely unprofessional establishment.
Gray place to eat, amazing new dishes. Vegans dishes. I am not a vegan, and I love the pork intestine dish, it’s amazing!
The food is delicious, it’s smaller so not too loud, and the staff is friendly!
Real China. Real family. Real restaurant.
Egg rolls are fantastic.
Good food. Prices are high though. Might be the location. I get twice as much food for about 3 dollars less at my usual place.
Our first time to this restaurant. Food was delicious and large portions. Ordered three dishes for four adults and we still had a lot of leftover to take home. Service is awesome. Try the eggplant dish and the General Tso's. We tried the fish soup. Delicious.
We waited 50mins because they forgot about us and then they gave us cold food which was ours they forgot to give us.
In town on business and stumbled upon this delicious restaurant. Friendly service, great sesame chicken and egg rolls. I’ll be back many times before I go home next week.
Great Food and Price. Love Chinese Food.
I’m from out of town visiting for a show. Stopped by here on a whim and wasn’t disappointed! The braised pork belly and green beans are an absolute must! Great service and delicious food.
Great food
Ordered sesame chicken with extra chicken and it was cut in these weird small chunks about the size of popcorn chicken. I was basically given a lunch portion when I’d ordered the dinner(with extra chicken) when I paid extra. The food that was there had little flavor and the soup I ordered was like warm on arrival. The idea that this food cost $13 is a joke an must be based on convenience alone. I wouldn’t do it folks.
The worst Chinese food I've had in a long time !! bad service too
Best fried rice I've ever had!!
Good food. The soup was great.
Fried rice and Lo Mein are fire. That it.
Good food, large portions & fast service!👍🏽
Solid place. Quick service and reasonable for the serving size.
My daughter and I stumbled on this little gem tucked away on Guadalupe Street. I cannot say enough wonderful things about China’s Family Restaurant... The staff was very friendly. The food was hot, fresh, and tasted AMAZING!
This has to be some of the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. The chicken was tough and dry, almost like small chunks of jerky dipped in batter. It also had a weird bitterness that I can’t identify. To add insult to injury, they ripped me off one potsticker. It’s pretty easy to tell the difference between 7 and 8. I don’t see how this wasn’t intentional.
Very basic hole in the wall place with very good food, Szechuan style
I'm in love with this place, I had to stop going here.
loved the fried chicken
I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I felt like I had to. The fried rice was a strange texture- there were no vegetables, and our dumplings were soggy and bland. The sesame chicken was also over cooked and bland- there was hardly any flavor or spice. The worst part was the egg drop soup. It almost seemed like the eggs were raw- the texture was mucus-like. I’m sad because we spent a lot of money. I wouldn’t recommend.
Ordered the Szechuan Chicken, and it was SO salty and oily. It was not spicy at all. I don't recommend it. I also requested for them to add Mushrooms and I guess since they were not able to add a charge to the order they just did not even bother. Ordered through Doordash by the way! Look elsewhere!
Good Food
I loved the DanDan noodles
Good material, mouth taste, praise
Amazing and authentic, Best meal I have had in weeks. Order off of Chefs Specialties.
A lot of people dine here, so it seems it's pretty popular. However, the General Two chicken I ordered was not tasty, the chicken was chewy and stringy and seemed to have been cooked from frozen. It's hard to mess up such a simple dish so the overall experience is just ok, nothing spectacular.
Great hole-in-the-wall serving Sichuan-style food...
Absolutely the best Chinese food ever!!!! Just go for the foodie menu in the back, skip the traditional American Chinese food!
The Chinese stomach, the improved Chinese meal, is like the color ring of the castration version.
A favorite location for tasty Chinese food. Nice place to relax, people watch, eat good, etc. Had a sister come into town and asked me to take her here again. Prices are decent. Makes me feel like I am back in Sacramento.
My preferred location for tasty Chinese food. Went there on a Saturday. I look forward to a return trip.
The restaurant was okay, kinda hot and noisy due to the fans they had running. I ordered the shrimp fried rice, per usual, and was greatly let down. Just didn't have really any flavor whatsoever. Wouldn't recommend
